In this video I illustrate further the concept of obtaining the area under a curve by summing up rectangles below a curve by going over a very useful example. In this example, I derive the formula for the area under the curve f(x) = e^(-x) using right endpoints as well as center points. I also calculate the area for 4 and 10 rectangles and have made an excel sheet which you can play around with by downloading below.
