Here we are in Peter Detmold Park on the east side of Manhattan, where we see DEP boat Red Hook as it motors up the East River. I don't know anything about the boat or where it was going, but it looks like a dredging boat. Peter Detmold Park is a small park at the extreme east end of 51st Street. One portion of the park is a dog run, while the second portion (where I am), is wedged between the FDR Drive and the East River. Behind the boat, we see Roosevelt Island, the big Pepsi Cola sign, and the old abandoned Renwick small pox hospital. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on March 12th, 2009.
