With Carolina Harbor opening next season, the Carowinds float for the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade in Charlotte will celebrate the soon-to-be largest waterpark in the Carolinas by bringing a hint of summer to the streets of Uptown Charlotte. The new float is being constructed by our fleet of elves and mad scientists within a top-secret location in Charlotte which we cannot disclose.

Since 1947, Charlotte has been entertaining audiences during the holiday season with the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year, Carowinds is excited to announce that it will be participating in this Queen City classic. Nearly 10,000 people attend the Charlotte Thanksgiving Day Parade each year, and it has been named one of America’s top holiday parades. This event will feature massive floats, performances from marching bands, and segwallons, which are Segways wrapped with a unique balloon design.

The Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 26, which is Thanksgiving. Join us as we welcome the holiday season with a Charlotte-style celebration. Uptown’s streets will be filled with a joyful holiday spirit as the parade marches from 10th Street and North Tryon to Stonewall Street.

You can get front row seats to the parade for only $15, and you can get an even better deal if you’re a Carowinds Season Passholder. Carowinds Season Passholders can save $5 by registering in the Season Passholder Portal to receive a special discount code.

You can download the Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade app for free from Apple and Google Play (we may even have a little gift for you). Also be sure to follow the Parade on Instagram and Twitter @novantparade and by using the official hashtag #cltparade
