About 30 miles south of Boston, lies a small town called Mansfield, located on the high speed North - East corridor of Amtrak, on which the Acela Express runs.

Acela Express trains are the high speed trainsets that are operated by Amtrak to run between Boston and Washington DC following the route Boston - Providence - New Haven - New York - Philadelphia - Baltimore - Washington.

The trains have a top speed of 150 mph (241 kmph) but don't run at high speeds all the time due to various reasons like curves, old bridges and commuter rail traffic.  However Mansfield in Massachusetts is one of the few stations which the trains pass at a reasonably high speed.

Seen here in the video are two of those trains.

1.  At 1:22 pm, Acela Express 2167 from Boston to Washington hurtles down the line and rockets past the station doing atleast 140 mph (225 kmph).

2.  At 1:38 pm, Acela Express 2154 from Washington to Boston thunders past shaking the entire platform and my camera.  This one was a little slower.

However I thoroughly enjoyed capturing both the trains and these are my fastest captures till date.
