The report was looking good. 5' swell. 8mph winds. It looked dead flat, and we weren't feeling much of any breeze. Things seemed nearly unbelievable... The lings were moving in for the winter spawn. This was gonna be fun. If you're not into surf-launching your kayak, Depoe Bay is the best place on the Oregon Coast to launch. It's pretty well proctected and you can slip right out the jaws.
