Lovisa Muyderman has lived in Adelaide for ten years and attended Mitcham Girls High School up until her graduation last year. She has been a member of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition (AYCC), a youth run organization made up of over 70 000 young people, since July 2010 due to her strong interest in climate change. Throughout her time with the AYCC Lovisa has been part of many campaigns, most recently walking from Port Augusta to Adelaide over two weeks to promote solar thermal technology to replace coal fired power stations and will soon travel to Qatar as part of the organization's delegation to the Conference of Youth and the UN Climate Change negations.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
