Please see the "GEM Blog: GEM Unification Rescinded, Officially" video. In this episode of the Stand-Up Physicist, Doug Sweetser compares the linear theory of general relativity with his own proposal for gravity that uses hypercomplex numbers. The linear perturbation of GR field equations are derived. Four known flaws of the theory are discussed. The way to fix these flaws is proposed, which involves fliping the sign of 24 of the 48 terms in the linear field equations. The Lagrangian for the new approach is discussed, using a new way to multiply, creating a novel approach to supersymmetry. The correct odds of winning Mega Millions is one in: 56*55*54*53*52*46/5! = 175,711,536 The 5 factorial comes from being able to pick the 5 in any order.
