Here we are at Union Station on the Lehigh Valley Line/Raritan Valley Line, where we see a text book definition of the name Conrail Shared Assets Operations. First up, we see Norfolk Southern Train 65J, the shit/trash train out of Newark. 65J consists of C40-9W 9031 and SD40-2 3389 with a good sized trash train. As soon as 65J clears the switch just west of the station and trips Townley Defect Detector, we see CSX Train Q169, an intermodal/UPS train, as it heads down Track 1 to the switch, crosses over to Track 2, smokes it up, and makes some noise, as it comes east through the station. Q169 consists of GEVO ES44DC 5329 and C40-8W 7714 with a moderately sized TOFC/COFC/stack train. Enjoy this meet of rival railroads.
