Speaking English is very similar to music. There is a rhythm and sound when speaking this beautiful language that can be mastered so that you sound exactly like a native English speaker. We need to understand the difference between zooming in and zooming out in order to accomplish this. Zooming in happens when we focus on the specific sounds and detail in English. These include how we create the sounds of vowels and consonants as wells as specific combination of letters and ending sounds. Zooming out is when we look at the overall picture and learn how to combine the detailed and individual sounds and how it flows together. This included the intonation and the sentence stress, pausing and adding meaning to the words we are pronouncing. Want to receive more helpful tips? We post a new video every Friday.
