कौशाम्बी जिला जेल में भ्रष्टाचार के विरोध में बंदियों ने अब भूख हड़ताल शुरू कर दी है, दरअसल कैदियों ने प्रभारी जेल अधीक्षक बीएस मुकुंद पर पर वसूली का आरोप लगाया है, आलम ये है कि तीन दिन से कैदी भूख हड़ताल पर बैठे हैं, और वो जेल अधीक्षक पर दो  दो लाख रूपए की रिश्वत मांगने का आरोप लगा रहे हैं, कैदियों की माने तो पैसे ना देने पर जेलर ने जान से मारने की धमकी दी है, ऐसे में कैदियों की मांग है कि पूरे मामले की उच्चस्तरीय जांच कराई जाए।
