We here at Mystic Koi really like the performance improvements that air drains offer. Not only do they increase vital oxygen content, they also improve circulation as well create a toroidal flow pattern which directs solids toward the main drain. Beyond the initial investment of the drains and an air pump to run them, the amount water moved by the rising stream of bubbles is extremely economical, especially when compared to similar flow rates provided by conventional pump types.
