Splurge or Save: One outfit, two different price tags!

Today we're looking at an outfit that I need in my closet--- but here's the catch, we're looking at it from two different ways... one that breaks the bank and one that leaves me with plenty of savings for the next outfit I come across!! 

So, the look I'm going for is a pleated maxi skirt, paired with an oversized sweater and leopard wedges! 

Let's start with the pleated maxi—the splurge comes first—a Rebecca Taylor pleated Matte Navy maxi. It's so beautiful and retails for $325.00! There are plenty of ways to wear this beautiful piece, but if you're like me you get tired of things pretty quickly, so the save comes from Forever 21! It's a touch different with a sheer pleated overlay over a shorter skirt--- but it gives the same effect for only $24.80! 

I want to pair this skirt with a loose sweater and I found this amazing piece by Vince—It's a beige gold sweater trhat has a whopping price tag of $505.00! Yikes—so after some investigating I found a similar sweater at H&M for only $14.95! It's beige as well and has a hint of metallic in the yarn! 

And for the final piece to the puzzle—I wanted leopard wedges! The splurge pair is a great shoe by Steve Madden. They are these lace up booties called the Stiker for $200.00, but lucky for me since this price tag is a little hefty I went back to Forever 21 and found leopard peep toe wedges for only $27.80! 

So for well under $100 I was able to find an outfit that I love and it seriously compares to the designer version that would have put a HEFTY dent in my bank account of over $1000.00.
