The UNU-IAS Education for Sustainable Development in Africa project is an inter-university educational and research programme that aims to train future leaders for sustainable development in Africa, by promoting knowledge exchange and creation between Africa and Asia. Intended as an educational tool, this 13-minute video aims to prompt reflection on sustainability and what the concept means to each viewer. The video was filmed in Japan, South Africa, and Viet Nam, with the kind and generous support of local communities. It contains no interviews and does not attempt to define sustainability, but rather aims to encourage personal interpretation.
