The 2006 World Micro Radio Control Helicopter Cup- 

The 2006 RCUniverse.com World Micro Heli Cup was an event that will go down in RC history. On October 21 and 22, the best micro and mini helicopter pilots in the United States came together at the 22nd annual iHobbyExpo trade show in Chicago Illinois to try and grab their share of $2500.00 prize purse. This years event held extra challenges for the pilots due to the low ceiling and ceiling support pillars. Both of these obstacles claimed a heli or two as the contest progressed both on both days. 

Remember the low ceiling and pillars? They claimed victim both Micro and Mini heli’s, but none were so bad they could not be repaired and ready to fly the next day. It is good to note the safety net was not put to test as all accidents happened on the far side of the flight line though one did approach the judges.
