Don't mind the silly editing/quality. It's a one off thing. Copyright Notice- This song has been licensed by Harmonix/MTV games for use and playback via the game Rock Band and Rock Band 2. More information can be found at www.rockband.com/dlc Jesus. I can still remember when me getting something like 97% on this song was an achievement to me. Now, I sit here, and can say that I've FC'd Battery twice now. Definitely something I never thought I could FC for the longest time. Pretty much my best FC to date, on-disc wise. Top five of all time, for sure. Does this description seem familiar to anyone yet? Hmm. Anyways, few things to note. For the more curious among you, this is one foot, one pedal. I don't see the "Odd Riff" part needing double bass whatsoever. It was considered fast footwork when the RB2 disc came out, but we've been introduced to way faster stuff since then. Also, this took me three tries. However, this is after a failed night of trying to get this FC for about 45 minutes the night before, only to choke three times. Also, David put in quite a bit of work with not only all of the effects, but dealing with his crappy internet to get me this and other videos. We had to go to some length just for me to get this video, so major awesomeness on him for having the patience to put up with my bitching and his crappy outdated internet to get this to me. Also, don't mind the dip in the quality for this video. It's not too bad, but it's at least a somewhat noticeable. Hopefully, it won't plague future videos. Hardest Part: I think the hardest part, is the fact that I've had to build up the stamina to FC this song for fucking months. There's really not technique to speak of when it comes to this sort of thing. You just need to play this song [and harder stuff] enough to build up the stamina. That being said, there are annoying parts. The most annoying of which, is this fucking poorly-charted red roll a little bit after Odd Riff 1. Just pause the video, and you'll see what I mean. If you try to hit it like the other rolls it's supposed to be like, you end up missing. It seems like most the time when you hit it, it's just luck...and that cost me three runs where I made it past the first "Odd Riff", just to break combo here. Ugh. My technique for this is to just play it like it should be, which is a five-note roll with a sixth red note afterwards. However, instead of playing it normally, I tend to hit...not necessarily faster, but harder on the entry of the roll. I dunno why, but it increases my odds of hitting it. Eh. As for Odd Riff...again, it's all about playing the song enough times to get the timing and speed down. Personally, play some of the harder DLC. It makes things like Battery a lot easier to obtain. For the record, that shit-charted roll is the furthest I've gotten with an FC for it to break, and again, it happened to me three times in one night. However, the first run where I've hit the little fill, I managed to pull off an FC. Thank God. So yeah, enjoy, and more videos to come!
