Tonight we used the giant saw, worked on the timber frame and a little green timber framing buddy hung out with us all night.  So we are down to four timbers to cut timber frame joinery in in order to start slinging rafters and finally getting this building closed up before winter.  The recovery is still moving along at a good pace and I can't ask for more.  I hope that all of you watching get the chance to do some traditional building someday, maybe even use some vintage timber framing tools you pick up at your local flea market while out junking with your family.  It really is a very special process and even though it takes a long time and is hard work, the journey to build something is its own reward.
