Adriana Silva: is a journalist, researcher, writer and PhD in Education from UFSCar. She defines herself as an agent in favor of culture and education, starting at a very young age. With 15 years old she was VP of AJA (Portuguese initials for Young Artists Association) and also participated in the Education and Culture constituent sub-commission. She went to Brazilian capital, Brasília, to ask for more culture and education to the congressmen working on the new Constitution.She was Ribeirão Preto's Culture Secretary from 2009 to 2012, and after leaving the office, she saw as her duty to give back what she had learned to her city. Together with other fellow researchers she founded the IPCCIC (Portuguese initials for Creative Cities and Cultural Identities Paulista Institute) and, since then, Adriana is inviting all to look inside, with the proposal to discover together that we are special and have a great responsibility towards the place we live in. She advocates cities to be more creative for the benefit of all of us who live in them.

A Look Inside: In a distant time, the social changes, the great inventions e the important discoveries were registered each century. Later on, from these same discoveries, the change rhythm accelerated, and since the globalization, the transformation pace overran the pertaining relations of man and its place and, presently, threaten us with the loss of our identities. We suggest a look inside to search for our best and for the restoration of community life with focus on the conception of more creative cities.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Adriana Silva: é jornalista, pesquisadora, escritora e doutora em Educação pela UFSCar. Ela se define como uma agente a favor da cultura e da educação e começou muito jovem. Aos 15 anos era vice presidente da AJA -- Associação dos Jovens Artistas e participou da subcomissão de Educação e Cultura da Constituinte, em 1985. Foi a Brasília pedir aos parlamentares que faziam a Constituição, mais Cultura na Educação. Foi secretária da Cultura de Ribeirão Preto de 2009 a 2012 e ao deixar o cargo, se viu comprometida em reverter o que aprendeu para a sua cidade. Junto com outros pesquisadores fundou o IPCCIC -- Instituto Paulista de Cidades Criativas e Identidades Culturais e, desde então, Adriana está convidando a todos a olharem para dentro com a proposta de descobrirmos juntos, que somos especiais e que temos muita responsabilidade para com o lugar onde vivemos. Um Olhar para Dentro: Em um tempo muito distante, as mudanças sociais, as grandes invenções e as descobertas importantes eram registradas a cada século. Depois, a partir dessas mesmas descobertas, o ritmo das mudanças acelerou, então, desde a globalização, a velocidade das transformações atropelou as relações de pertencimento do homem com o seu lugar e, atualmente, ameaçam-nos com a perda das nossas identidades. Sugerimos um olhar para dentro em busca do nosso melhor e do restabelecimento da vida em comunidade com foco na concepção de cidades mais criativas.

No espírito das ideias que merecem ser espalhadas , TEDx é um programa de eventos locais, auto-organizados, que reúnem pessoas para dividir uma experiência ao estilo TED . Em um evento TEDx , vídeos TEDTalks e palestrantes ao vivo combinam-se para acender uma profunda discussão e conexão em um pequeno grupo . Estes eventos locais e auto-organizados são marcados TEDx , onde x = evento TED organizado de forma independente . A Conferência TED fornece orientações gerais para o programa TEDx , mas eventos TEDx individuais são auto-organizados .
