The Hintertux glacier lies at the very end of the Zillertal valley, which is around a 40 minute drive from Mayrhofen. At the very top of the main ski lift there is a viewing platform which sits at 3,250m above sea level, giving you amazing panoramic views of the Austrian Alps.
