Three villages southwest of Berlin evacuated as wildfire rages

A large forest fire raging 50 kilometers southwest of Berlin continued to spread early Friday forcing around 600 people in three villages to evacuate from their homes. Efforts to contain the fire were complicated by the ammunition from WWII that is still buried in the landscape and could explode with the heat.
