A group of scuba divers from west palm beach in Florida are looking to preserve exotic sea life at a local snorkelling hot spot. In December Florida fish and wildlife commissioners will decide whether or not to classify an area under the blue heron bridge as protected.

The area that divers want protected is said to be a divers and snorkelers paradise and has been in the top 50 of places to scuba dive on many travel and scuba diving websites. Now as it stands you can’t just go swim in the area and collect fish, you need a permit if you want to collect fish species and you also must prove its for educational purposes.
