Attorney Advises Retrenched Petrotrin Workers To Seek Justice

Attorney-at-Law, Keith Scotland, is advising retrenched Petrotrin workers to seek justice. He said the workers have the right to natural justice, and must know their full rights. He was speaking at an “I AM Petrotrin” Stakeholder Meeting. The Attorney also called on the workers to align themselves with people or an association which can properly seek their interests. In related news, members of the Joint Trade Union Movement intend to lead a three-day march next week in an attempt to save State-owned Petrotin from closing. At a Press Conference held in front of the Eric Williams Finance Building, Head of JTUM, Ancel Roget, said the march, which is scheduled to begin next week Wednesday, will mobilise from the Point-a-Pierre Refinery to Port of Spain. Mr. Roget predicts that the closure of Petrotin will take the same course as the closure of Caroni (1975) Limited.
