CSX Train Q430-24, the extremely delayed northbound mixed freight to Selkirk Yard, finally gets out of Dodge, or in this case, Poughkeepsie. At this point in the day, the crew has been on the clock for so long, that they have discussed where to get relieved, and as you can hear on my scanner, they are thinking of being relieved at Rhinecliff. All of this is finally happening after starting out in Beacon shoving the rest of their train, which was 59 cars, up to Poughkeepsie, tying onto an additional 22 cars, coupling them onto their train for a total of 81 cars, doing a brake test, charging the train, and getting out of town. From the first video I took at Beacon until now, all of this took about 6 hours to do. There are 8 engines, and the engine consist is as follows from north to south: SD40-2's 8854, 8841, 8846, 8851, 8836, and 8850, as well as GP38-2's 2804 and 2717. Enjoy the pure power lashup, which roughly totals 22000 horsepower. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on March 24th, 2009.
