We were bouncing on the trampoline in the cornfield when someone spotted a snapping turtle. We all ran over and marvelled at the beauty for nearly a half-an-hour. The turtle snuck off into the brush by a creek, and we went on with our day. A couple of hours later, we spotted the same turtle trying to cross the highway into the lake. Lots of traffic, and the turtle was pretty well disguised, so we decided yo help it across to prevent injury. It was an awesome experience.
