After a long time without hitting the track, since my 86 still doesn't have its new seats (and other details I want to fix before taking it out again), and my MR2 had very worn rear brake pads. I decided to go out for a spin. I ordered the pads, and they should have been here on time, but in the end, they weren't. So I went out anyway and had some fun!

I had a lot of things going against me, not only the brakes, but the car clearly needs a staggered set of tires when going really fast, due to excessive oversteer (currently running 195/50/15 Michelin Pilot Sport 3s all around), and I need more seat time. It's easy to tell since I make a lot of inconsistency mistakes here and there... but then again, I was trying stuff all the time, because it was a new track for me, and I had never driven the car at the track with this suspension setup, alignment... besides not hitting the track with it since back in 2014. Was great to try to keep up with an old acquaintance of mine, the RenaultSport Clio 182 Cup.

Anyway, bittersweet, as I was having a blast, the car was fun at the limit (more than I remember, which was already quite good! I'm looking at you, MR2 naysayers! lol), the Castellolí track was really cool (although I do need more power to not be able to go flat out easily in a few corners...), and the ambient, with my friends at Trackrat club was really great. It was great to catch up with a few old faces and meet others. Thanks guys, can't wait to be back with this Club!!
