For the NARS Fall 2012 Color Collection, François Nars chose to photograph iconic '90s supermodel Kristen McMenamy. The two have worked together in the past, including a revealing turn on the runway at Anna Sui's 1992 Fall Fashion Week presentation, and again in 1999, when he featured her in his first portrait book, X-Ray. Explaining his decision to cast Kristen as the face of Fall 2012, Nars said that the glamazon's "beautiful, often otherworldly look" epitomized the color collection -- characterized by bold, modern shades and celestial shimmers.
