This homemade blowgun is modeled after the ones i made when i was a kid. i didn't have any money to buy materials so i just used what i had lying around, so the cost of this blowgun was $0. I became quite good at shooting my blowguns and even though its been almost 30 years since I've shot one, my marksmanship has not declined as much as i though it would have.

WARNING: this is a dangerous weapon even though it is a mouth powered projectile weapon. never point it a another living thing and especially not at people. i achieved 1/2" of penetration into hard plastic with these darts, someone could be easily injured. you should only use this blowgun for entertainment purposes.

the materials for this blowgun are quite simple and readily available but feel free to make any substitutions to this blowgun construction:

1/2" CPVC - i had a 30" piece lying around from a plumbing repair
1/2" CPVC coupling - left over from said repair, only CPVC fittings work on CPVC pipe PVC fittings are not interchangeable
8-1/2"x11" paper - i was a kid in school so this is all i had
seamstress pins - at least 1-1/2" long (or close). i used hat pins as a kid since i raided moms sewing supplies for these and that is what she had (this time i plundered the wife's pin supplies) but as you will see from the video, the smaller pins work fine, just make sure they are the larger headed type
a little glue - any PVA glue works well.
