My hat goes off to Jason Mraz for making such a beautiful song. It's one of his best works in my opinion.

To clear up confusion, if there is any, the first part of the video shows me making my own "encouraging" index cards and posting them on a wall in my room. It's something I've done for a while now. I once read somewhere online that it's good to write down your goals on paper and post them around your house. By seeing them everyday and being reminded of what you want, it's supposed to keep you motivated. I figured I take the same mindset and write down positive things or words of inspiration/encouragement/wisdom, that I pick up along the road of life. It really does serve it's purpose in keeping me motivated and helping me remember what I live for everyday. The second half of the video shows how I had other people make their own index cards, and possibly spark them to start their own wall of words :).

I didn't wanna just make a cover of this song. I wanted to use it to reach out to others in the same way it reached out to me. When I decided to make a concept video for this cover, I knew I would have to challenge myself.

To put it as short as possible, for the past several weeks I carried my camera, a pack of index cards, and one sharpie around wherever I went. I'd ask anyone I ran into (friends, acquaintances, strangers)....anyone who was willing to participate.....to simply write down either a word of encouragement, or if they'd like, they could choose to write down something hard that they've been through and also write down what it was that got them through it.

To my surprise, a lot of people were very honest and in the process, I was able to make a lot of connections with so many different people. This project has really been an adventure, and I feel so blessed by everyone I came into contact with. To all of you who helped make this video, thank you for your willingness and honesty. It truly is a blessing to me. Your words have inspired me more than you can imagine. Again, thank you all.

It is my hope that whoever views this video will realize that they are not alone in the struggles of life and that there is always hope in even the darkest of times. Be encouraged my friends!
