This second stage is a flight cruise across the ocean, flying over a bunch of battleships and islands in the process, until you reach the one at the very end, which has a core that must be exposed and hit with a bomb in order to destroy the entire thing.

Collecting blue diamonds makes your Solavlou increase its number of shots, from 2 up to 4. Collecting a different colored diamond, such as red or green, keep the current level of your shots while also changing how it operates.

Collecting a red diamond turns your weapon into homing lasers that hunt down and kill as many enemies at it can. It has the very best range out of the 3 diamond weapons, but it's also the weakest as even 5 ground yellow lasers can take a moment before blowing up a structure in the ground, where you'd need just one bomb for the same result.
