In today's lesson, Teacher Helena introduces a sentence pattern that is applicable to business Mandarin Chinese.

是做 + business type + 的 / (shì zuò + business type + de) 

For example:

Nǐ shì zuò shénme shēngyi de? 
你是做什么生意的？
What business do you do? 

Wǒ shì zuò fúzhuāng pīfā de.
我是做服装批发的。
I am doing the business of clothing wholesale.
