Magic: The Gathering as a game shifts and changes with each new release. It is part of its beauty.

With rotation coming this weekend, it was time to desleeve an old friend; to put the Sphinx's Revelations back into EDH decks, the Blood Baron of Vizkopas into folders and await the opportunity to play the shocklands and Supreme Verdicts in some janky Modern home brew. So here is to a grand Standard season, where I had a lot of fund making other people's live miserable with permission, mass removal and incredibly powerful creatures.

Let us look forward to this new season, with all the wonderful toys and fetchlands Khans of Tarkir has brought us. Enjoy my love letter to a deck I had an absolute blast tweaking, playing, loosing and winning with. Rest in peace Esper Control.
