June 1 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Mike Firn reports on Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's plan to discuss the future of the Democratic Party of Japan with Ichiro Ozawa, the DPJ's No. 2 official.
The prime minister's popularity has plummeted since his party's landslide August victory, with voters disenchanted over campaign finance scandals and his vacillating over where to move a U.S. military base. Three polls released yesterday showed his approval rating at or below 20 percent and six in 10 voters think he should quit. Bloomberg's Rishaad Salamat also speaks. (Source: Bloomberg)
