The new water colossus is the most annoying one after update, but once you build a team for it then its super easy. The key to this colossus is sap and resist. Your team need to have super high resist to resist water colossus's sap and you need sap to kill him. Also shield can omit a lot of damage from the colossus, Venus is the best shield healer, but if you don't have a Venus or L/D shield healer, then Wood Cupid is probably your best option that is easier to obtain.

Here is my team that I used and the gems they have, something for you guys to consider when building your water colossus team.

Lvl 60 evo3 Light Venus (HP/HP/HP +15 Life) 
(62% res + leader skill 16% = 78% res)
Lvl 60 evo3 Dark Flora (HP/DEF/RESIST +12/+12/+9 Broken) 
(65% res + leader skill 16% = 81% res)
Lvl 50 evo2 Wood Perse (ATK/HP/DEF +9/+12/+12 Broken)
(54% res + leader skill 16% = 70% res) 
*She doesn't need the atk gem here, just the atk gem I gave her has most resist substats out of my gems, hp or def gem will give her better survivability 
Lvl 60 evo3 Wood Hana (HP/DEF/REC +12/+12/+9 Conviction) 
(63% res + leader skill 16% = 79% res)
