My GEM unified field proposal is wrong. The symmetric b field is not invariant under a rotation, so it is inconsistent with Kepler's old equal area in equal time law which relies on conservation of angular momentum. A gauge symmetry was not found, suggesting the proposal might not conserve mass. It is unclear that field equations using hypercomplex numbers could ever be quantized. The prediction that there was no need for the Higgs boson has been shown by the LHC to be in error (subject to confirmation that the spin is 0 and not 2 or higher). While I made good strides with the field theory, I ignored the force equations which was a deadly oversight. Some things can be learned from this proposal so long as one keeps a block of salt on hand.
