(26 Oct 2018) The Duke and Duchess of Sussex unveiled plaques to commemorate forest reserves dedicated to the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy project, on the last day of their visit to Tonga on Friday. Prince Harry praised the tiny Pacific kingdom for leading by example in the project as it understands first hand the effects of climate change. Tongan Prime Minister Akilisi Pohiva was also present during the event. The couple will conclude their visit on Friday with a farewell to King Tupou VI at the Royal Palace. Harry and Meghan arrived Thursday from Fiji and will return to Sydney on Friday night for the final days of the Invictus Games, which Harry founded in 2014. After Australia, the couple will finish their trip with a four-day visit to New Zealand.
