Two weeks ago to this day, Betty White, a sweet geriatric hound made her way to the Good Newz Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield, VA. Betty was malnourished, had 4 mammary tumors, rotted/abscessed teeth, a systemic yeast infection and a myriad of other health issues. Honestly, her prognosis was grim. We all felt that Betty deserved all that we could offer, so we began to treat all of her ailments. Despite her initial assessment, Betty White is exhibiting the spunky tenacity of her namesake and is now strong enough to be schedule for a lumpectomy. Today, we captured her on film playing with stuffed animals for the very first time. Her teeth do not hurt, she has put on weight and she continues to make us all smile on a daily basis!
