At the age of ten, Loden made the brave decision to move away from his family and commit himself to the life of a Buddhist monk in a Nepalese monastery. Adapting to monastic life wasn't an easy transition for Loden, but over time he has developed a deep respect and appreciation for the monastery's rigour and rituals. In addition to meditating and studying, Loden attends school, where he focuses on improving his English in order to pass the yearly exam — but even with his busy schedule, he is able to pursue his favourite pastime, watching and playing soccer with his friends.
