This afternoon, I went back to Petersburg. It was rainy and a bit chilly, and I'm sorry to say it wasn't the most eventful day, but I'm still glad I went. Sorry for the length, I think the idling train took up a good portion of this video. That's why this is being split into parts.

Train #1: Amtrak P079 goes by Collier Yard with a rare private car on the rear. That was a surprise, because I thought Amtrak did away with using private cars.
1. P42 #57

Trains #2 and 3: CSX Q439 pulls into Collier Yard. The first two clips feature the horn blowing for the crossings. While I have caught a ton of K5HLLs throughout my whole YouTube career, I liked the sound of this one in the distance. I might have saw this train going under E. Parham Road on my way home from school, then again while driving Chippenham Parkway. While Q439 goes into the yard, a southbound CSX grain train races it.

3. AC4400CW #5120

1. ET44AH #3389
2. AC4400CW #204
3. ES40DC #5225

Train #4: A boring NS power move passes Collier Yard running long hood forward. At least a high hood and an ex-Conrail Geep were included.
1. C44-9W #9451
2. C44-9W #9146
3. GP38-2 #5228
4. GP38-2 #5257

Train #5: The significantly delayed Amtrak P092 catches me off guard as it races through Petersburg. At least the Silver Star's route is restored, but it might just be me, but it seems they're one coach short today.
1. Amtrak P42DC #142

Train #6: CSX Q410 pulls up to the yard with an SD40-2 trailing. Too bad it couldn't lead, you know I love SD40-2s.
1. ES44AH #3040
2. ES44AH #3197
3. SD40-2 #8014

Train #7: CSX Q031 passes by the yard. After this, we go back to seeing Q410 moving around to collect some cars.
1. CSX ES40DC #5477
2. CSX ES40DC #5235

Train #8: Amtrak Palmetto #90 hurries by the sitting Q410.
1. P42 #72

Train #9: A surprise NS power move goes west. It turns out they were going to Collier to pick up V62. We see them entering the yard as Q410 finishes up and finally leaves.
1. SD70ACU #7279
2. ES44DC #7629

Train #10: CSX F778, which seems to have been playing hide-and-seek on the hot dog track, comes out and reverses into the yard. It has a duo of GP38-2s, one of which is ex-Seaboard, but with cab headlights instead of nose mounted lights.
1. GP38-2 #2559
2. GP38-2 #2795

Stay tuned for Part 2.
