Ben, an Application Engineer from Digi-Key, shows us a brief set up of the Maxim Integrated Grid-Eye evaluation board. The Panasonic Grid-Eye is an 8 x 8 array of IR sensors. Maxim’s MAXREFDES131# evaluation board uses a simple one wire interface. This allows for easy connection to the MAXREFDES132# Arduino shield as well as the MAXREFDES130# Automation Shield. The Panasonic Grid-Eye opens up the world of IR sensing by allowing you to read multiple bodies, movement, and even heat mapping.
