Afghanistan Reinforcements May Reduce Civilian Casualties

NATO troops in southwest Afghanistan fired on a speeding bus Friday and killed three civilians. The incident comes one day after U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced the Pentagon plans to send thousands of additional troops to Afghanistan early next year. A group of American experts, who just returned from Afghanistan, say more troops will help avoid civilian casualties.
