This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Erica Granados De La Rosa is a spoken word poet and “artivist” working towards social change through art.  In this very powerful and emotional performance, Erica lends voice to the issues of reproductive justice, pay equality, and sexual assault.  She offers a thought-provoking and passion-filled poetic invitation to consider the complex realities that are often not recognized in mainstream politics and takes us on a powerful journey exploring intersectional identities and experiences that embody race, class, sexuality, religion, migration, violence, history, and culture. From the perspective of a young woman of color, Erica radically places the voice of women of color at the table of women’s issues in politics.
