Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt flicker problem

Regardless of input type, (HDMI, component or s-video) the flickering issue shown in this video is a persistent problem when using the Intensity Shuttle with Thunderbolt on my 15" Retina MacBook. I contacted Blackmagic Design and they insisted that this was not an issue with the Shuttle. They sent me a new Shuttle but it's still happening so I'm kind of at a loss.
