Sotiris Ntzoufras is an Architect with a degree in Architectural Engineering from the Technical University of Crete (TUC). Since 2013, he is a researcher at the Transformable Intelligent Environments Laboratory (TUC TIE Lab), through which he has worked on a variety of research projects in Greece as well as abroad. His areas of activity in the Lab focus on robotic architecture, transformable intelligent environments, automation systems, design methods and digital design tools in virtual reality environments. He has contributed in 8 publications in scientific conferences and magazines.
Following his graduate thesis in the field of ‘Robot swarms in architectural construction and design and the creation of a digital-real communication platform’, he continues to develop methods that can be applied both in cultural spaces and in extreme environments. Moreover, he is building 6-axis robotic arms as a synthetic tool for architects, through virtual reality. At the same time, he is key staff at the Maker Space laboratory, created within the framework of the "Designed for Better Learning" program by the City of Athens, implemented by TUC TIE Lab with the coordination of Athens Partnership and the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. During his undergraduate studies he worked as a teaching assistant in the courses ‘Parametric Design’ and ‘Digital Technologies in Design’.
For his studies at the Technical University of Crete he received a scholarship for excellent performance.

Ο Σωτήρης Ντζούφρας είναι Αρχιτέκτονας Μηχανικός, απόφοιτος της Σχολής Αρχιτεκτόνων Μηχανικών του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης (ΠΚ). Από το 2013 είναι ερευνητής στο Εργαστήριο Μεταβαλλόμενων Ευφυών Περιβαλλόντων (TUC TIE Lab) μέσα από το οποίο έχει ασχοληθεί με πληθώρα ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Τα πεδία δράσης του στο εργαστήριο εστιάζουν στους τομείς της ρομποτικής αρχιτεκτονικής, στα μεταβαλλόμενα ευφυή περιβάλλοντα, στα συστήματα αυτοματισμού, στις σχεδιαστικές μεθόδους και στα ψηφιακά εργαλεία σχεδιασμού σε περιβάλλοντα εικονικής πραγματικότητας. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε 8 δημοσιεύσεις σε επιστημονικά συνέδρια και περιοδικά.
Επιπλέον, έχει ξεκινήσει να κατασκευάζει ο ίδιος ρομποτικούς βραχίονες 6 αξόνων σαν εργαλείο σύνθεσης για αρχιτέκτονες, μέσω της εικονικής πραγματικότητας. Παράλληλα είναι υπεύθυνος εφαρμοσμένων τεχνολογιών στο εργαστήριο Maker Space που δημιουργήθηκε στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος “Έτσι Μαθαίνω Καλύτερα” του δήμου Αθηναίων, που υλοποιείται από το TUC TIE Lab με τον συντονισμό του Athens Partnership και με αποκλειστικό δωρητή το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος. 
Για τις σπουδές του στο Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης έχει λάβει υποτροφία άριστης επίδοσης.
