This race is Heat 2 of the Division 3 (D3) Girls from the 2018 CIF-ss (Southern Section) Cross Country Prelims meet held on November 9 at the Riverside Cross Country Course.  The course is 3 miles.  The Prelims meet decides the 24 teams and up to 15 individuals in each division that will compete in the Finals meet held on the following weekend.

Commentary:  Tight scoring among the top 5 teams, all geared to making the most of this opportunity to get to know the course in preparation for the Finals.  Lead pack is 8 well past the Mile 2 with SM having 3 of those positions.
