VANDALIA -- Lasers, race cars, bowling, food and a bar.  Some places say they have "everything," but new Miami Valley business might actually be able to back up that bold assertion.  Scene 75 is located just off I-75 at Poe Ave. in Vandalia.  It used to be an old warehouse that was vacant for years.  No one could figure out what to do with it, until a young businessman moved back home to the Dayton area and decided to turn the space into the largest entertainment facility in the nation.Construction on Scene 75 is still progressing.  The building in a whooping 124,000 square feet."This whole concept is focused around the ability to attract all ages.  But we have taken this design to appeal to the adults.  We firmly believe that if we can attract the adults and make them happy, we'll be able to attract the children as well," said Jonah Sandler, Scene 75's C.E.O.Sandler has already started training more than a 100 employees to work in the facility's restaurant, bar, and out on the main floor.  Scene 75 has just about everything including mini-bowling, a laser maze, a huge bounce room with inflatable slides and obstacle courses, the largest laser tag arena in the Tri-State, bumper cars, and dozens of arcade games.  There are also be two separate mini-golf courses which are unique because they glow in the dark. "People are still looking to have a good time regardless of what the economy may hold," Sandler said.It's taken Sandler three years,  million dollars, and the help of plenty of partners, including Doug Van Dyke, who's in change of the indoor go-cart track, which is the largest in Ohio."It's been challenging to say the least, but we're having fun and I'm having a great time with this," Van Dyke said.While there's no hard open date right now, Scene 75's sand volleyball league starts up next week, and already 80 teams have signed up."This project I hope will get people excited about this city again," Sandler said.Sandler says Scene 75 will definitely open sometime this summer.
