What is the Bridge Fund? - The UNICEF Bridge Fund is an innovative financial tool created by the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to speed lifesaving assistance to children in need around the world. The Bridge Fund saves lives by sending much-needed lifesaving supplies such as:
• Mosquito Nets & Malaria Medicine
• Clean Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene Equipment
• Medical Equipment -- First Aid Kits & Thermometers
• HIV-Related Medicines & Diagnostics - Vaccines & Safe Injection Devices
• Education Equipment & Materials
• Pharmaceuticals, Micro- Nutrients & Therapeutic Foods

The Bridge Fund allows UNICEF to overcome timing gaps in donor payments for global purchasing, directed by UNICEF's Supply Division headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Bridge Fund helps UNICEF save time, reduce costs, and ensure no child goes without vital supplies.  The Bridge Fund is a lifeline to children enabling UNICEF to get children what they need faster with more thinking and more planning at a price that leverages a dollar. The Bridge Fund allows UNICEF to purchase supplies more efficiently and effectively, on an ongoing basis, magnifying the impact of an initial grant contribution by a significant amount.
