This is a demonstration how to setup the Air Video server from www.inmethod.com for Mac and how to use the Air Video app available from the AppStore. You'll want to use port forwarding on your local network to the port that you chose under settings in the Air Video server (like I demonstrate) and make sure you have verified your IP address using possibly www.whatismyip.com and then use the "test connection" feature to make sure it's accessible. Then on your iPhone or cellular enable iPad, open your Air Video app and make a new server instance using that IP address and that same port number you used on both the forwarding and the Air Video server settings. Now turn your wi-fi off on your device and voila you should be streaming that same "movies" folder to your device.
*** I do not endorse the idea of using your data plan to stream movies as for high definition you are going to use a lot quickly, however, the option exists and I must share that*** Please check your usage and applicable data charges** (Just use common sense here folks).
