Why don’t we see the immediacy of action? Urgency and need to end violence, not only in ourselves but in the world. Action is prevented by the idea that we cannot do anything because the problem of violence is so great. The world I live in is the world of my friends and family – there I can act completely. Our actions may move like a forest fire that starts very quietly; nobody notices it until it is a full flame. What can we do against the powerful military machine of government? Why don’t we see that the house is burning? The world outside and the world inside are not separate, they are the same unitary movement.
