There is some entirely unexpected history in Ukrainian countryside. Like this arch of triumph built in honor of tsar Alexander I visit to the Kochubei family estate in 1820. It’s considered to be the only monument in Ukraine commemorating the victory over Napoleon’s army. Although the estate didn’t survive turbulence of the civil war of the early XX century, but the arch is still there in the middle of farmfields.
