China has complained that U.S. breached its sovereignty in the South China Sea. U.S. Navy officials says USS Hopper, a destroyer vessel, sailed near the Scarborough Shoal last week, reports Reuters. The rocky outlet is claimed by Taiwan, China and the Philippines. China says the vessel came with 12 nautical miles of the island and breached the country's sovereignty by doing so. The Chinese Navy reportedly ordered the USS Hopper to withdraw immediately after discerning its identity, reported Reuters. The U.S. says it was an "innocent passage" and followed international law. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Next Animation Studio’s News Direct service provides daily, high-quality, informative 3D news animations that fill in for missing footage and help viewers understand breaking news stories or in-depth features on science, technology, and health.
