Oh gosh, this game is a bunch of luck. Luck that the mines don't spawn right on top of you when you collect a coin and luck that you'll get a coin above 100 points so you get a good head start.

Collect coins:
Bronze Cross-bone coins are 10 points.
Silver Skull coins are 25 points.
Silver Cross-bone coins are 50 points.
Silver Crescent Moon coins are 100 points. These are good coins to have spawn first for a good head start.
Silver Skull-and-Cross-bone coins are 250 points. If this coin spawns first, go for it!
Gold Cross-bone coins are 500 points. If this coin spawns first, go for it!
Silver Cross-bone coins with Gold Ring around it are 1000 points. I've never seen it, but if this appears, you've already beaten AAA's score. Of course, these are extremely rare, but I've heard of people who got this coin.

Death Traps to avoid:
Black-star mines spawn every time you collect a coin. They will target you from any distance and will speed up when they get close to you. Only 9 can be on the screen at the same time.
Whirlpools also randomly appear around the level and suck everything toward it (the mines and you). While when mines get sucked in a whirlpool and explode, they will suck you in as well and if you get into the center of a whirlpool, you die, so watch out!

The strategy here is to keep resting the game until the first coin that spawns is a 100+ point coin. Then, you'll collect coins until there are two mines on the screen only. Once there is, lure them into colliding into each other. To do this, make sure that your boat is in the center of the two mines but some distance in front or behind them. Keep in mind that the closer you are to a mine, the faster the mines will come at you, so don't be too close to either mine and make sure you have room to make a quick getaway if they haven't exploded before they almost reach you.

There are many other strategies for this game as well, and if you want to see them, use the guides above.

HINT: I never used this, but in the game window, you can type 'scallywags' (For a short cut, before mines start spawning, type 'scallywag' and then when you need it, type the last 's' to use it) to spawn a whirlpool randomly to suck up mines, which means it can both benefit and harm you to use this code. Only use this when you have too many mines on the screen to handle.
